Yes, And: Improv for Faculty In-Person

Overview

Do you sometimes feel anxious about the unpredictability of the classroom? Or that you'd like to be more flexible and open to changes in your class plan? Or are you looking for some new opportunities to reflect on your interactions with students? If any of these questions resonated with you, say "Yes, And" join us for an improv workshop.

This session will introduce the principles of long-form improv comedy. Exploring improv can be a fun way to build on your performance skills and your ability to adapt to the unpredictable in the classroom.

This workshop is for everyone, no prior experience required. Participants will have the opportunity to try out some improv techniques and reflect on what you feel and learn in the process. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing—we will be on our feet.

Space is limited - registration is required!

Facilitated by Kevin Daly, Associate Professor of Theater
