Designing for Access with Universal Design for Learning Online

Overview

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a research-based framework that helps educators design learning environments that are more accessible and responsive to the diverse needs of all students. This session will introduce the core principles of UDL and explore why it matters for creating meaningful access in the classroom. Participants will reflect on their current teaching practices and identify specific areas where they can apply a “plus one” approach—adding one more way for students to engage, access content, or demonstrate their learning—to make their courses more flexible and inclusive.

Presenters: Adam Nemeroff and Sara Venezian
